RAJAHMUNDRY: In a shocking incident that took place in West Godavari district, a dead body was delivered to a family in Yandagandi village of Undi mandal. One anonymous organization claiming that an organsisation who helps the poor in the community and wants to help One Sagi Tulasi who is constructing a house as she hails from the same community (Kshatriya community).
The organisation sent paints in the first installment two months back and sent tiles in the second installment. She received a call that electrical items and goods will be sent and she and her family members received a parcel on Thursday night.
At that time, Tulasi was at her parents home where her sister and sister’s husband were also present. Expecting electrical appliances, she opened the wooden box and only to find a dead body. There was also a letter in the parcel demanding Rs 1.30 crore. The phone of the so-called organisation is also switched off from Thursday night.
According to West Godavari SP Adnan Nayeem Asmi, Tulasi’s husband Sagi Srinivasa Rao gone missing for the last 10 years and she is living with his father Mudunuri Ranga Raju in Yandagandi in Undi mandal. Her younger sister Chekuri Revati was married and became pregnant after 10 years of marriage. She came to her parents house as she is pregnant. When Revati Tulasi came to her parents home.
Tulasi left the house which suggests family disputes between them. Tulasi took a house on rent in the neighbouring village and is constructing a house. On Thursday evening, Tulasi went to his parents house in Yandagandi and had some discussions with his sister. Then, a person brought a wooden box (3×4 feet) on Thursday night stating that electrical appliances in the box and everyone in the family including the husband of Revati, Mr Chekuri Sridhar were there at that time.
When the box was opened, everyone in the house was shocked to see a dead body in it. It is the body of a male aged between 45 and 50 years. The dead body is about four days old and it weighs 85 kilograms. There is a letter found in the box in which Rs 1.36 crore demanded as the husband of Tulasi took loan of Rs Three lakh in 2008 and the amount accumulated to 1.36 crore.
As there are no CCTV TVs in the village, it is getting difficult to find out from where the box was brought. Sridhar was absconding since Thursday after intervention of the police.
The police are suspecting that the role of insiders and observed that the behaviour of Sridhar as abnormal as he is missing from Thursday night and his phone is switched off. The police are suspecting that there are family disputes within the family as Tulasi left her parents house two months after her sister arrived.
She stayed with her parents since her husband went missing in 2012. The family is also tight lipped over the family issues and the police are searching for Sridhar who might reveal the mystery behind the dead body in the parcel. The police have formed multiple teams to solve the case.
